WIDA recognizes the complex reality facing multilingual learners, families, caregivers, and educators. For many, the shift to distance learning was sudden and lacked a proper transition. As we embark on a new school year, we have learned more about our needs and yet many questions remain.
The following series of micro-offerings are connected to WIDA’s Guiding Principles of Language Development and are designed for educators that work with multilingual learners across a variety of learning environments. Educators will have access to the following micro-offerings:

- Examine the US Department of Education policy requirements for supporting multilingual learners during COVID-19.
- Identify ways to provide equitable education to multilingual learners during COVID-19.
- Explore a virtual home visit model as an example of a wrap-around service and partnership to support multilingual learners and families.
